Reviews Policy

This Reviews Policy explains how reviews work on Coachd, what is and is not allowed, and how moderation works. It is part of our Terms of Service and Coach Agreement.
1. Who Can Post a Review
Only clients with at least one completed booking with a Coach may submit a review of that Coach. We verify this automatically before allowing a review to be posted. This rule prevents fake reviews, paid reviews from non-customers, and reviews from competitors.
2. What Reviews Should Cover
Reviews should reflect your direct, genuine experience working with the Coach. Useful reviews include information about:
- the Coach's communication, professionalism, and responsiveness,
- the quality and clarity of the coaching plan or sessions,
- whether the Coach delivered what was promised,
- the overall experience.
You do not have to share personal health information, before-and-after data, or any details you would prefer to keep private.
3. What Is Not Allowed
We do not allow reviews that:
- are false, misleading, or not based on actual experience with the Coach,
- contain hate speech, slurs, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content,
- include personal information about the Coach or anyone else (home address, phone number, family members),
- are sexually explicit or inappropriate,
- include malware links, phishing links, or commercial spam,
- promote competing platforms or attempt to drive traffic away from Coachd,
- were paid for, traded for, or otherwise compensated, in either direction,
- were written by the Coach, the Coach's family, employees, or anyone with a conflict of interest,
- contain defamatory statements presented as fact,
- describe events outside the scope of the Coachd booking (for example, off-platform interactions).
4. Coaches Cannot Manipulate Reviews
Coaches must not:
- offer discounts, free sessions, gifts, or other compensation in exchange for reviews,
- pressure clients to remove or change reviews,
- post reviews of themselves or competing Coaches,
- create fake client accounts to post reviews,
- ask Coachd to remove a legitimate negative review.
Violations may result in review removal, account suspension, or termination of the Coach Agreement.
5. Moderation
5.1 AI Moderation
Every review is automatically scanned at the time of submission for policy violations, including hate speech, harassment, personal information disclosure, and spam. Reviews flagged by AI moderation are queued for human review before being published.
5.2 Human Review
Coachd staff make the final decision on whether a flagged review is published, edited, or removed. Flagged reviews are typically reviewed by Coachd staff within 2 business days. Routine, non-flagged reviews are published immediately.
5.3 We Do Not Remove Negative Reviews
We do not remove a review just because it is negative or because the Coach disagrees with it. Honest, low-rated reviews are protected. We only remove reviews that violate this Policy.
6. Coach Right to Respond
Coaches may post one public response to each review on their profile. Responses are subject to this Policy. A Coach response must:
- be professional and respectful,
- not include personal information about the client,
- not threaten legal action,
- not disclose private health, financial, or sensitive information.
Coaches who use the response feature to harass clients or violate privacy will lose response privileges and may face account suspension.
7. Reporting a Review
If you believe a review violates this Policy, report it from the review itself or by emailing support@getcoachd.ai with:
- a link to the review or the booking ID it relates to,
- a description of the policy you believe was violated,
- any supporting context.
We aim to respond within 5 business days.
8. Appeals
If your review was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may appeal by emailing support@getcoachd.ai within 14 days of removal. Include:
- the original review text (or as much as you remember),
- the Coach's name,
- why you believe the removal was incorrect.
We will respond within 10 business days. Appeal decisions are final.
9. Verified Booking Indicator
All published reviews display a "Verified Booking" indicator confirming the reviewer completed a real session with the Coach. This is the foundation of trust on Coachd.
10. Aggregate Ratings
Coach profiles display an aggregate star rating based on all published reviews. Ratings:
- update within 24 hours of a new review being published,
- include a minimum review count threshold before a rating is shown (typically 3 reviews),
- weight all reviews equally regardless of when they were posted.
We do not allow Coaches to filter, hide, or reorder reviews on their profiles.
11. Review Content Ownership
By posting a review, you grant Coachd a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, distribute, reproduce, and use your review in connection with the Platform and its marketing. You retain ownership of the underlying content.
We may anonymize or excerpt reviews in marketing materials. We will not attribute a review to you by full name without your consent.
12. Account Closure
If you close your account, your reviews remain published by default but with your name removed and replaced by "Former Client." You may request full removal of your reviews when you close your account by contacting privacy@getcoachd.ai.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Reviews Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your account address or by notice on the Platform with at least 30 days advance notice before taking effect.
