Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on the Coachd Platform. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. How Cancellation Policies Work
Each Coach sets their own cancellation policy, shown on their profile and at checkout. Always review the Coach's policy before booking. The Coach's published policy controls except where this Refund Policy or applicable law provides otherwise.
If a Coach has not published a policy, the default policies in Section 3 apply.
2. How to Cancel
You can cancel a booking from your dashboard at any time. The refund amount depends on the billing type, when you cancel, and the Coach's policy.
For monthly subscriptions, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You keep access for the time you have already paid for.
3. Default Cancellation and Refund Policy
Where a Coach has not published a specific policy, the following defaults apply.
3.1 Single Sessions

3.2 Session Packs
You may request a refund for unused, unscheduled sessions in a pack at any time. Refunds are calculated as:
(Number of unused sessions / Total sessions in pack) x Pack price, less a 10% administrative fee on the refunded portion.
Used or scheduled sessions are non-refundable unless the Coach agrees otherwise.
3.3 Fixed Programs
Fixed programs (for example, a defined 8-week or 12-week engagement) are refundable on a pro-rata basis for unused, unscheduled sessions, less a 10% administrative fee, only within the first 14 days of the program start date. After day 14, fixed programs are non-refundable except for documented Coach no-shows or platform errors.
3.4 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Once a billing cycle has started:
- The current cycle is non-refundable.
- You can cancel future cycles from your dashboard at any time.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle. You keep access until then.
We do not pro-rate mid-cycle cancellations.
4. Coach No-Shows
If a Coach fails to attend a scheduled session and does not reschedule within a reasonable time:
- You are entitled to a full refund of that session.
- For session packs and fixed programs, the missed session is restored to your remaining balance, or you may request a refund for it.
- Repeated Coach no-shows may result in suspension of the Coach's account.
To report a no-show, contact support@getcoachd.ai within 7 days of the missed session.
5. Coachd-Initiated Refunds
Coachd may issue a refund without Coach approval if:
- the Coach's account is suspended or terminated for misconduct,
- the booking was the result of fraud, account compromise, or platform error,
- a chargeback dispute is resolved in your favor by the card network, or
- we are required to do so by law.
6. Disputes
If you believe a booking was not delivered as promised, contact us at support@getcoachd.ai within 14 days of the issue. Include:
- the booking ID,
- the Coach's name,
- a clear description of what went wrong,
- any supporting documentation (screenshots, message excerpts).
We will mediate between you and the Coach in good faith. We aim to respond within 5 business days. We cannot guarantee a refund. Where we cannot reach a resolution, the Coach's published cancellation policy and this Refund Policy apply.
7. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback through your card issuer or bank without first contacting us is a breach of our Terms of Service.
If you have a problem with a booking, give us a chance to resolve it first. Chargebacks cost both Coaches and Coachd money in fees and operational time, and they often result in account suspension.
If you initiate a chargeback that we determine to be fraudulent or in bad faith, we may:
- suspend or terminate your account,
- dispute the chargeback with documentation,
- recover associated chargeback fees from you to the extent permitted by law.
8. Founding Period Refunds
During the Founding Period, the platform fee is waived for migrated existing clients on monthly subscriptions. The Founding Period waiver applies to platform fees only. Subscription charges from clients to coaches remain subject to this Refund Policy and the Coach's published cancellation policy.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method.
- Credit and debit cards: typically 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
- Bank transfers: typically 7 to 14 business days.
- Other payment methods: processing time varies by provider.
We do not control the speed of refund posting by your bank or card issuer.
10. Currency
Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction (typically USD). Currency conversion fees imposed by your card issuer or bank are not refundable.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your account address or by notice on the Platform with at least 30 days advance notice before taking effect.
